Every time I passed Nanny Meg's house, she was in the kitchen baking one of her Cajun fruit pies for us. The smell of the fresh apples cooking for her French Apple pie filled your nose. His original pastry pie recipe featured a pie shell with the moist, fluffy texture of cake and a pie top crust very much like  a chewy, buttery cookie, blending the heritage of old French confections  brought by the Acadians to Louisiana with the new, unique cultures of the Cajuns of South Louisiana. Today, Nanny Meg's pies are made from the finest ingredients to provide you with a truly original fruit pie like no other. Each pie is a scrumptious, cake textured shell filled with apple, peach, blueberry or cherry filling and a buttery cookie textured top crust blended with pecan bits. For the special seasons of the year, we offer delectable, pumpkin, sweet potato or pecan filled pies which will become a unique compliment to even your best meal.​
