Pralines date back to the 1600s, when a treat of cooked sugar coated almonds was introduced to an area of our nation filled with pecans and sugarcane.  Once in Louisiana, our native crop of sugarcane supplied the sugar, almonds were replaced by local pecans (peck-on), and cream was added to create a sweet treat that is now a local tradition known as a praline (prah-leen…, not pray-lean). Now, our gourmet sauce takes the melt in your mouth, sweet taste of a solid, candy-like praline, and transforms it into a creamy, pourable creation.

Like you, Pourciau's is in a hurry.  Our rich and creamy sauce pours out of the jar to make any cook stand out like a gourmet chef.  It's a sauce, not a topping. Since a little goes a long way, you can quickly throw together that unique entree', whip up those appetizers and party foods that everyone raves about or put the finishing touch on your favorite ice cream or dessert.
